How to Fit Your Shred Helmet
Measure your head with a Shred tape at a retail store to determine your size range. Remember though: the best way to choose your helmet is to try it on!
To check if you found the correct size, adjust the retention system properly. You will know the helmet is the right size when it sits snuggly and does not come off when quickly rotating the head forward and backward, as well as side to side.
If you do not have access to helmet for fitting, measure your head with a Shred tape measure by placing it around your head and horizontally over your eyebrows. Feel free to ask the retailers to help you out in the process. They will help you choose the right size.
If a Shred tape measure is not available, use any flexible alternative (the kind tailors use). If you need to convert to metric, use this website: http://www.worldwidemetric.com/measurements.html
A size 58 helmet corresponds to 58cm circumferance, a size 61 is 61cm, etc….
Remember that every head is different, so the tape measurement may not be as accurate as actually trying the helmet on. The shape of your head is not a perfect circle!
We cannot stress this enough: choose the right helmet size and wear it properly!!!
