World Cup GS and SL for the Shredders Caitlin Ciccone and Resi Stiegler. Caitlin shreds her World Cup debut but misses some good luck to show her huge potential. Resi kills it in the GS starting 62 and moving up 42 positions to rank 20th at the and of the race while in the Slalom she totally shreds, winning the splits in the 2nd run, but a huge mistake pushes her a little bit back in the rank.

 "This summer when I was trying to figure out what equipment I was going to race on this season, I looked for a goggle company that was was edgy and cool", says Olympic gold medal skier Ted Ligety. "There was nothing out there that fit this image, so I said to myself, "why not start my own company?".
SHRED is the result. A goggle brand that succeeds in mimicking the twisted depths of this 22 year olds brain.
He unveiled his creation at a dedicated press conference at the World Cup opener in Levi, Finland on Nov. 10th. The US Ski Team athlete was showing four ridiculously bright colored goggle frames which he boldly coupled with argyle goggle straps. They're designed in what he calls "retro-punk".
"Athletes have no say with what goes on in FIS, we just have to sit by and watch as they keep our sport from progressing".
"SHRED is a way for me to show the individualism in our sport and play a more active role in how our sport is preceived".
The young SHRED Optics company was able to celebrate its first World Cup top ten finish with US Ski Team member Resi Stiegler.
