French Shredder Marion Josserand Takes Bronze at Vancouver Olympics

On Tuesday, February 23rd, Shredder Marion Josserand from Séchilienne, France put in the performance of a lifetime! While she placed 9th in the 2009 X-Games and had a couple of podium finishes in regular season, her results had been inconsistent all-around.

What a time to pour it on and come through in the clutch. Olympic Bronze! I actually got to look at and hold the medals and the bronze just has a warmth and color that is more appealing than the others… what an accomplishment.

Marion was wearing the Pink Brain Bucket and Soaza Nastify Goggles and now doubt, she stood out. Congratulations Marion on your Bronze Medal! Keep shredding…

If you’re in the USA, click on the player below to see the video of the final race at NBCOlympics.com. If you’re in Europe or other parts of the world, head over to your country’s official Olympic media partner website for video of the action-packed skier cross race.

In other news, don’t forget to tune into the Men’s Alpine Ski SLALOM event today from Whistler, Canada. First run starts at 10:00 PST.

Shredders in that include Ted Ligety (USA) and Krystof Kryzl from the Czech Republic. Also of note: what frames will Bode Miller race on? The painted Soazas? Or his own sponsor’s goggles? If you spot him with Soaza’s, let your Shredder friends know, by posting the news on your Facebook Wall and/ or Tweeting about it.

Watch the Drama Unfold Today at The Women Olympic GS

Sarah Schleper Wears a Shred Helmet and is in GS Contention

There is enough drama to go around here at Whistler to fill a whole season of your favorite soap opera. With yesterday’s 2nd run postponed due to bad weather, we’re looking at one hell of a race today.

Will it be 2-time Vancouver Olympic silver medalist Julia Mancuso to overcome the hugely unlucky (and many are saying “unfair”) rerun from yesterday?

Will it be the Austrians with 3 of the top 4 girls? The Germans?

Or perhaps Sarah Schleper, Shred Helmet racer? She currently finds herself within striking distance of 1.07 seconds out.

You’ll have to tune in and watch the drama unfold. The fog looks like it’s still thick from outside my window, but the sun is peaking through here and there. If the weather is ok, we’re looking at a 9:30AM start Pacific Standard Time.  Turn on your TV’s NOW!
